Why Nephrologists Partner With Us
The Acute Care Burden
Hospital calls disrupt your outpatient practice and personal life
Call Coverage Exhaustion
Weekend and after-hours calls interrupt family time and leave you fatigued for Monday clinic.
CRRT Complexity
Managing CRRT in the ICU requires constant attention and specialized protocols that strain your bandwidth.
Hospital Rounding Time
Daily inpatient rounds at multiple hospitals consume hours that could be spent with outpatient dialysis patients.
Emergency Interruptions
Urgent consults pull you out of scheduled clinics, disrupting patient flow and staff schedules.
Practice Growth Limited
You can't grow your outpatient practice when acute obligations consume your availability.
Burnout Risk
The combination of outpatient demands and acute call creates unsustainable workloads.
How We Support Your Practice
We handle acute dialysis so you can focus on building your outpatient practice

Frequently Asked Questions
How do you handle communication about my patients?
We provide daily updates via your preferred channel—EMR messages, secure text, or direct calls. You receive a summary of any significant events, changes in dialysis prescription, or clinical concerns. Our goal is to keep you informed without overwhelming you.
What if I want to be involved in certain decisions?
We respect your preferences completely. Let us know which decisions you want to be consulted on—dialysis modality changes, access issues, discharge timing—and we'll reach out. We can customize our communication protocols to match your practice style.
How quickly can you respond to new consults?
We aim to see new consults within 2-4 hours during business hours and within 4 hours after hours. For emergent situations like severe hyperkalemia or pulmonary edema, we prioritize immediate response.
What happens when my patients are ready for discharge?
We coordinate with you on discharge planning. If they're returning to your outpatient practice, we provide a detailed summary. If they need SNF placement with dialysis, we can facilitate placement at our partner facilities.
Can this arrangement work financially for both of us?
Absolutely. We bill for the acute services we provide; you maintain your outpatient relationships. Many nephrologists find that offloading acute work allows them to grow their outpatient panel and improve work-life balance, which more than compensates.
